stclark01 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 ok, heres the deal, i have a 2001 banshee, bored .20 over, cool head w/ 20 cc domes, boyeson reeds, k&n filter, and boost bottle... i want to get a new set of pipes, i do mostly trail riding and hill climbing, i did get a pair of toomey t5's, but i absolutely hated them, they took all power away from my bottom end.. i sold them off,so those are out of the question.. i was thinkin bout either pro circuts, or the fmf SST's. i heard pro circuts are exceptional for the money, what do u think?? :?: :?: Quote
Screamin_Banshee Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I havent rode with either one, but I can tell you (someone correct me if I am wrong) the best low end pipe is gonna be stock. All aftermarket pipes raise the power band to above stock, and on top of that Banshee's arent low end machines.... If you are looking for the best low end aftermarket pipe, MotoFast or Dynoport 2into1 is going to be your best bet, or maybe a LRD Adjustable. Quote
az44banshee Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 FMF Fatties are great all around. Good low end and pull great all the way to top. Quote
Phast Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Wel if you cant ride "on the pipe" well than mabey you should get a 4 stroke  . I ve got t5's and I can ride every where. Quote
jrzman314 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 You should also consider the fmf gnarly pipe if you are looking for a low to mid powerband. Also I have heard the ptr midrange and the pro-circuit are both great pipes. Quote
davidj5491 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Between those 2 pipes, I'd personally go with Pro-Circuits. They work real well, and are priced better than any pipe going. They pull hard through the bottom and mid, and have good top end too. I still can't say enough for CPI inframes, but they weren't listed as an option........ Quote
rzcolobanshee Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I have SST's and my girlfriend has PC's, the sst's are definately a better pipe all around, you'll get more low and mid with them, but the pc's are great pipes to, if the pc's are alot cheaper i would get them. Quote
ledofthezep Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 I love my PC's & don't plan on changing anytime soon. I have pleanty of low-end & mid, and enough top to still drag. Can't say anything bad about them, they do sound better than the sst's. However I've not had a chance to try them out,...& for the price I wouldn't bother. l8r! Quote
WickedBanshee Posted October 30, 2002 Report Posted October 30, 2002 for low end either a 2 into 1 pipe or fatty's cause there an all around good pipe. i cant agree enough w/ the "on the pipe" comment. why do you need low end? just use the powerband in a lower gear. should never be otta the powerband cept for cruising through camp. out of the 2 you listed i think pc's are kind of a top end pipe. sst's are expensive as hell but i think they are a pretty good all around pipe. i think they're like the fatties but rev a little higher. shouldnt have to worry bout them taking away the bottom end cause i know a guy who got some sst's and $300 for his cpi's and said the sst's dont rev out near as high as the cpi's but are a good pipe.
