I would say it's jetting like they said, or a clog in a jet on one side. While we are on the subject what is the best way to keep new pipes from blueing? Paint the inside with high temp paint or??Thanks for the response!

OOOoo ya, I didnt think about the one pipe blueing and the other side not. Boonman might be onto to something. Air leak on that side causin' a lean condition. Inspection time. ;)

If you check a motorcycle shop there is a product called Blue Job that works great to keep pipes from blueing.I used it on my motorcycle I got mine at www.jpcycle.com

If your pipes are already blued up, Caswell Plating has a kit that'll remove the bluing. www.caswellplating.com is where ya get it. (I'm not affiliated with 'em, just a happy customer)

my pipes did the same :( i am not sure exactly why,i went really big on the mains with the pipes and have come down a few sizes.i suspect it was from using stock pilot jets -i now use 27.5's,the 30's were just too big for my bike.

couldn't the carb's being out of sync cause that too? and make sure you pull both plugs when checking for proper jetting. it may give you some insight as to what's going on with which cylinder. but an air leak does sound to be the most likely cause.
