Banshee slightly bogs on takeoff

Recommended Posts

Hey guys just looking for some advice or possible obvious reasons why this might be happening. The shee doesn't like to take off, I really have to give it a ton of gas to get moving. Even dumping the clutch kind of high just leads to a drop in rpms and slow boggy takeoff. Once it hits the band it's as crisp and powerful as can be.

One thing I'd like to note is that when the bike is first started for the day, it takes off fine and these symptoms start happening only once the bike gets warm.

Fresh top and bottom end rebuild ( less than 5 hours, I never rode the bike before the rebuild)
Stock bore/stroke/carbs
Toomey T5 pipes
No airbox lid with a single K&N filter
330 main 30 pilot
62ft above sea level
93 octane @32:1 semi-synthetic premix
Temperature outside was between 50-60F
Airscrew is out 2 turns but I've played with it a bit and didn't notice a difference at all

If I had to guess, I'd say my pilot is too big? How far would you jump down in size?
