Ebe313 Posted April 11, 2023 Report Posted April 11, 2023 Have a 87 banshee that I just rebuilt has a misfire at idle on the left cylinder. Seems to clear up once it hits the power band then start to smoke a lot more on deceleration. (Significantly more oil comes out of the left pipe) I have switched reed cages, spark plugs, spark plug wires from one side to the other, did a compression test and it checks out good, problem stays on left side. My banshee has a 2-1 trinity intake could this be a carb jetting issue? Read somewhere on a forum that fixing the pilot jet on a 2-1 fixed a similar problem. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted April 12, 2023 Report Posted April 12, 2023 Have you done a leak down test on the cylinders? Does it idle better with the choke on vs off? What were your compression numbers? Quote
Ebe313 Posted April 12, 2023 Author Report Posted April 12, 2023 Both cylinders were about 130 I have not done a leak down test. Quote
