coolhuh Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 When I move the rear of my banshee from side to side it makes a clanging noise. I can move my rear brake rotor side to side a little bit, but the noise seems to come from the right of the rotor (if looking from the back) where the axle and the rotor carrier meet. Could it be a bearing going out or ???? My banshee is an 03 and I have about 16-18 hrs on it. Thanks Quote
Holyman Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Sounds like a bearing. There should be no movement up and down. Sometimes there is a slight {VERY slight} movement side to side but never up and down. If you don't have a grease fitting on your carrier, plan on installing one when you have it apart. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Try tightening (sp?) the axle nuts first. If this dosent work you have to throw in new axle bearings. Not a real big job, just a little time consuming. Quote
