brock_fuzzy_69 Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 i had been thinking of tapping a hole int eh water pump cover for a 1/8 inch or maybe evan a 1/16th pipe plug for a coolant drain jsut use a nice pipe plug witht he recessed allen head??? anybody ever do this before no i dont wanna buy a billet cover thing Quote
MX Black Beauty Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Buy a ez drain plate from Pro Design. They cost around $30 and work great. Quote
BenBB Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 I considered doing that (or welding on a coupler for the plug) but didn't want to run into any interference between the plug and the water pump itself. I would consider the PD cover, but hell I've only had to drain the whole system once in 3 years when I did the topend, so I figured it wasn't worth the time/money to f*ck with. Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 i *think* the impelleler will sometimes rub on the cover. if this is the case the screw couldnt stick out inside at all. i say the PD cover is worth it way easier that screwing with hoses Quote
