jadaven Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 OK, im sick of my bolts coming out of the front fenders. Plus on my last ride i lost one of the braces for the front plastics. What do you all think is the best way and how to cut the plastics. I want just a little fender left but not so it looks dumbo eared or no fender at all. Thanks Quote
Yamahammer Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Any kind of saw hack sawzall hand saw what ever tape the patern also the good side make the tape cut mark even on both sides then have at it. then sand it even and smoth then hit the edge with a propane torch or a heat gun Quote

ledofthezep Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 I used some electrical tape for an outline on the fenders, then used a jigsaw with a fine-toothed blade & followed the edge of the tape. Worked out great, clean cut & looks awesome... Quote

Screamin_Demon Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Use whatever you have on hand to cut them with... just make sure to touch them up with a razor blade and sand the edges down. I used a drill and made holes along where I was wanting the cut to go, then tore the fenders off. Quote
