  1. Welp, I finaly bent one of my upper a-arms. What do you guys sugest. Shoule i simlpy replace it with another stock one off of ebay, or should I upgrade to a newer and stronger set. I only ride my banshee in the oregon dunes. Looking for a cheep but quality fix.
  2. Yeah, i planned on doing just a mild port job. Thanks for your help. How do t6's perform with a port job, i hear they can be tricky.
  3. When you port an engine do you loose compression? My friend told me that if i ported it i would have to get a new head with some slightly smaller domes.
  4. 83 in the oregon dunes
  5. My first was in pre-school. a 1986 honda 50z special edition. It was all chrome. The gas tank, the front and rear fenders, the springs, the handle bars were all chrome. Even the frame had a chrome like finish. There was also a red, white, and blue that came on the gas tank stock. It was a pretty sweet little machine, i actually still have it and i ride it around and keep i in good clean working shape. I think there were only 1,000 of these in the U.S., i could be wrong though.
  6. Well in the sand its all about power and weight. he 450r has about 45 stock i think, but he also got the factory honda hop-up kit that puts t over 50 i think. So, i will let you guys know who dose better drag racing in the sand when he gets the bike.
  7. I have a banshee with about 60hp and my friend has a piped 89' 250r. Well he sold it for 6k and is getting a the new 450r. I i said to myself "no sweat", but my friend weighs only 145lbs and i weigh 235. So, its time to hit the gym. But please beleive, its not all fat, i am 5'11" and i rep on the bench at 260 3x10. My body fat% is 14 right now so i am funning 5 miles a day and eating better untill my body fat is down to 8% or a little less. Then we will be on more even grounds for racing in the samd. What do you think?
  8. Would you guys sugest getting the timing key that is about 20 buck or pass? All i ride in is the sand.
  9. i'll take one for sure.
  10. full-time firefighter
  11. hmm... You should post a pic of it if you can
  12. If you live in oregon you could take it to cascade innovations. I put on a 6" swingarm and they did and awesome job rebuilding my shock for the longer swingarm.
  13. I have a 1995 and a 2003 banshee. On the 95' the lights had a totaly smooth headlamp (the cone shaped part) and the lens had specific grooves in it that helped to determin the shape. On the 2003 the lense was clear but the headlamp cone part was grooved like the new car lights, also known a clear diamond cut lights. Do yours look clear and crystaly or do thay look like a round white reflector?
  14. i have the toomey 2:1 filter and i was wondering what size of k&n would best fit this. Anything would help, thanks.
  15. Big smooth jumps in the sand. I also love to be riding in 5th of 4th and as i come to the top of a rounded dune, hammer the throttle and ride a wheelie forever going fast. also kickin' up some huge roost at the top of a dune. all this and beating a bunch of 4-strokes in drags.
