traiwarburton Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 I have a 1996 Banshee, that starts just fine, idles just fine, Revs just fine and was running perfect. And then, I hopped back on it started to go in first then it just died on me. Couldn’t get it to start back up, until the next day. Started right up, kicked it into first started to go then just died on me again. Now it still starts but I haven’t even tried moving it again. Anybody know what it could be? I’m not really too technical into all of this I just like to ride. Quote
97Screamer Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 Does it lunge forward when you put it in gear? Sounds like the clutch pack could be stuck. Quote
traiwarburton Posted May 15, 2019 Author Report Posted May 15, 2019 Yeah, when I put it in first while still holding clutch it does just a little. But it’s not like a crazy jump or nothing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I remember when my shee would Lurch forward while the clutch was in, it was caused by the nut being to tight on the pressure plate causing the plates to always touch even with the clutch in. 97Screamer Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 Yeah you need to open up the clutch cover and inspect. You have something keeping pressure on your clutch even when its pulled in. 1 Quote
