1.8 temp gauge cap

Recommended Posts

Ok so I just bought a radiator cap that’s a 1.8 but it has a temp gauge and that’s the reason I bought it so I could keep an eye on coolant temps. My question is the stock cap is 1.1 now it will run hotter? Little confused should I cancel the order I didn’t notice it was a different pressure 🤪

Changing the cap will not change the temperature the bike runs at unless the bike already boils over. In that case it will boil over at a higher temperature which may be a bad thing. I would recommend an inline temperature gauge anyhow, you're not going to see that thing under the cover unless you cut it up.
