2 jugs are better than one Posted November 18, 2018 Report Share Posted November 18, 2018 Ok so I just bought a radiator cap that’s a 1.8 but it has a temp gauge and that’s the reason I bought it so I could keep an eye on coolant temps. My question is the stock cap is 1.1 now it will run hotter? 97Screamer Posted November 19, 2018 Report Share Posted November 19, 2018 Changing the cap will not change the temperature the bike runs at unless the bike already boils over. In that case it will boil over at a higher temperature which may be a bad thing.
