I have a stock 2002 banshee and wanting to get more power out of her but not crazy power. I mostly trail ride and plan on goin to the dunes. Would putting in bigger size pistons do enough or should I port as well? And im located in okc. Does anyone know of a local shop that does work on jugs?

If it were me just building a play bike with some bolt on mods i would have the following

1. Good set of pipes

2. Clamp on filters

3. Port job

4. Cut head for added compression with advanced timing.

That's why he told you to check into it. Lots of info here. Boring bigger is only reducing the life of your cylinder. Pipes and porting are the biggest bang for your buck after advanced timing, which can be free if your handy at all.
