Clutch Side Transmission Vent Elimination?

What do you guys do to plug the hole in the stock clutch cover when you guys block off and eliminate the transmission vent/hose under the water pump cover?

Pretty sure he is talking about the hole is the top of the cover. Can weld it close, jb weld, rubber plug, or nothing.

But doesn't that hole allow dirt, sand etc into and under the water pump cover?

 

On another note, do you guys have any tips for removing stuck on clutch cover gasket on a clutch cover that's never been removed since it was built in 2002?

 

Fucking thing stuck on the thin wall of the clutch cover and I do not want to fuck up the clutch cover.

I haven't had one in 2 years. Never a problem.

I use the green roloc bristle cleaners. There meant for gasket removal

i filled with clear silicone. Doesnt matter really.

Update to this.

 

I used calipers and found the hole ID is Ø.315".

 

The tap drill for a 3/8"-16 UNC thread is Ø.3125" or 5/16".

 

So, I ran a 3/8-16 UNC tap in the hole and red loctited a socket head set screw in there.

 

Now it's out for color.
