Larry's Shee Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 What do the plug caps ohm out at? Banshee I'm working on no spark was one of issues. Rusted solid crank was major one. Anyhow first couple kicks had spark. Ended up being key switch. Well, I'm out of ideas. Think I'll have some popcorn. Quote
J-Madd Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 Make sure all black wires and the black/red wire are connected and that the black/white wire isn't grounded or connected to any of the aforementioned wires. Quote
bigweav81 Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 Weak leg lol. I could start mine by hand. If it's turning over fine. I'd say your kick starter is ok. Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted May 21, 2016 Report Posted May 21, 2016 You need to get next to a known good banshee and start swapping parts. CDI's are generally all or nothing but I have seen some crazy stuff like this one time. Ended parts swapping with bhatch21 and eventually the Cdi was the problem. Quote
broke350 Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 I just had the same thing happen with mine and it was the CDI. Had good compression, stator ohmed out fine, pickup coil gap was in spec. Replaced the wiring harness with a new one, replaced the coil. In the end, it was the CDI for me. I bought a procom from JDS Customs as it was much cheaper than factory OEM and I wasn't sure what the problem was. Quote
ACZR8000RR Posted May 29, 2016 Author Report Posted May 29, 2016 Just wanted to update, it was the cdi box that was bad. Starting on 1 kick now Quote
