Is this something to worry about?

Recommended Posts

Both sides left and right are off center a little. And in the front the head over hangs a tiny bit. It's a trinity head on new aftermarket cylinders. When I installed it the head fit a lil snug over the studs. Had to tap down with rubber mallet. The studs gave me some trouble. When installing them in the new cylinders they got tight sooner then I expected. Bout half way into threading them they didn't wana go much further even with a wrench. So I chased them all with the correct re threader. Still had some trouble gettin them all the way in after chasing all the holes. The left cylinder all the studs were threaded till there were no threads left showing. Right cylinder they all threaded equally but not as far in as the left cylinder's studs went.

Granted most my riding is above sea level but I hate to constantly have to worry about it. Just put the bike together it's barely broken in. Considering ditching the trinity head and going with a pro design

Yea that's why I'm confused that I'm getting 165. I got 165 initially before I fired it with a healthy amount of oil in cylinders. Ran it through a few heat cycles and putted around in 1st gear and 2nd a little. Re tested and had 160 but could get my Matco compression gauge to read 165 if I really kicked it over fast and hard after it reaching 160.

Ya, you should run higher octane. Doubt 93 octane will be enough.

IIRC, 91 octane is around 150psi on stocker.

You can get your stockers ported some and this will lower the compression.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he has his cylinders pored yes it will lower static comp. but he will still need race fuel as its just reading different on the gauge because of a raised exhaust port? I think the comp. is still there.
