So I bent my axle pretty damn good (don't ask). Lonestar claims they carry a full lifetime warranty but they told me to ship it to them (on my dime of course) and they would straighten it and ship back (again on my dime). Local machine shop wants $50 and I already determined they were both going to use the same method (press, no heat - Lonestar called it cold straightening). That said I would rather deal local BUT will this thing ever be as strong as it was before? Lonestar says yes but i'm skeptical. Wish they'd REPLACE it under warranty.... I can get another one from a buddy BNIB for $300 but rather not fork out the cash, still gotta replace wheel/hub and lonestar billet brake rotor hub (they at least discounted that piece pretty good) and I worry the metal that broke off of the rotor hub is going to end up in the bearings inside my roundhouse carrier so I may end up having to replace that too or at least the bearings inside the carrier

Send it to them. That way if something does happen they will cover it. You let machine shop "A" straighten it and it will no longer be covered by lone star.

Humm....Not true in theory for sure, if you deform it permanently, you did structural damage. Usually, that need heat threatment to reset and restore everything. I dont think a straighten one have the same strengh as a new one...

That's what I'm afraid of...

I am going to call LS back and tell them I want a new one, not a straightened one and see what they say

My brother rolled my 250R coming up hard on a peak of a sand pit, when he got to the top it dropped off sharply to the other side into broken chopped up asphalt so he jumped off the bike. Destroyed both rear rims and put a bend in the LSR axcaliber axle. Shipped it to them they straightened it out and I opted to to have it rechromed while it was there. Got it back like new. As mentioned above it all depends how bad it's bent.

How much did they charge to re-chrome?
