Dennisw
Running 300 mains I got t4 head pipes pro core silencers stocks carbs no air box and 65.5 bore and 30 pilots but it doesn't like to take throttle and takes it a sec to un-rev
oldskool
You might want to do a leakdown test. I'm guessing when you say un-rev, you mean idle down. An airleak or too small pilot can cause this. I dont believe your pulot is too small at 30. To get carbs jetted properly, you need to eliminate any airleaks. Intakes are notorious for leaks.
Dennisw
It had 25s in it and run fine but it wasn't really smoking on startup and those pilots come with the mains in a jet kit so I figure I'd give them a try
J-Madd
Unless you've got some aggressive port work normally 30 pilots are too big for most. Look for air leak as mentioned.
Dennisw
No port work maybe next set of jugs I'll look for a air leak I copper sealed all the gaskets but Ya never know
J-Madd
No sealant should be needed on stock gaskets and stock cylinders. Some people do put yamabond on then though. Aftermarket cylinders have more porosity and inconsistencies and may need sealant though.
ban565
I ran 27.5 pilots with 300 mains.

wayne_smith97
I figured better safe than sorry with the copper seal I was talking about the " I will check for air leaks when it's time for new jugs" part. Do a leak down and make sure it holds.
