I wonder if anyone can help me here...

My lock nut on my rear axel just seems to move about freely, it seems like the only thing stopping the axel from sliding out is the C clip ?

The nut also looks like it is on the axel back to front as the side that faces the wheel has a thread on it , it looks like its supposed to have something bolted on to it on to it or as if it has to be threaded on to the sprocket (if that makes sense?)

Just looking for some advice peeps as this is my first shee :)

Thanks in advance.

It's sounds to me like it may not be a Yamaha axle none of my shees have ever had a clip holding the nut in place, sounds like it may be a Honda axle or something else, as for mine, yes the nut does like to come loose sometimes, I tighten the shit out of it and it will eventually backs off over time, of course I am almost 3 times stock hp, try using a pipe wrench with a cheater bar and see if that works

Here are the pics of the axel and lock nut , it looks back to front to me

on the axel there is a groove for a C clip to slide into , it seems this is all that holds my locknut in place to stop the axel sliding out?
