joey128 Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 I ot a 4 mil banshee, 68 mm pistons, 39 mm carbs, 19 cc domes I think,v force 4 reeds, and the port job looks home made and scp drag pipes. it runs fine until u get to around 3/4 throttle to full throttle and it sputters and spits flames out of exhaust, ive tried richn up the main jet and its the same and leaned it out and wont really rev out when I leaned it. any ideas on what it could be, maybe electrical or the port job on it Quote
joey128 Posted June 2, 2015 Author Report Posted June 2, 2015 its not stock its adjustable its on + 5 Quote
Bennett131 Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 He asked about the stator, not the timing plate. Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 Blowing flames out the exhaust is a sign of being way too lean. Do a leakdown test, and make sure that it's sealed up good. 1 Quote
do-work-son Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 Outta curiosity what size jets have you tried? Quote
joey128 Posted June 2, 2015 Author Report Posted June 2, 2015 couldn't tell u if the stator was stock or not, put timing back to 0 its still the same, ive went all they way to 185 on main and no change really and went all the way to 140 on main and didn't want to rev out with 140 but 150 - 185 its really no change Quote
joey128 Posted June 2, 2015 Author Report Posted June 2, 2015 I got it like this and don't know a hoe lot about it, the porting looks like someone did it there self Quote
sleeper06 Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 What were the results of leakdown and how did u do it Quote
joey128 Posted June 4, 2015 Author Report Posted June 4, 2015 sorry for late reply but I pressured it up to 7 psi and let it set around 8 mins and it leaked around .5 psi, ive cked stator, coils, and tried jetting evry way and just cant get it to not throw blue flames and cut out a bit at full throttle Quote
Strm Trpr Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 What groove are the needle clips on? What are your current jets? What elevation and temp is your riding location? What octane fuel and what brand oil/ratio are you using? Have you done a compression test? Quote
