xelerated
Okay- I have rejetted my carbs and the bike runs GREAT, but every once in a while, it will completely fall on it's face. Has this happened to anyone else? I almost think that there is some coolant running into the cylinders, although it doesn't smoke (a very little bit) but it does smell a little off. Not that high sweet smell, but different. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!
xelerated
UPDATE- My dealer says that sometimes it is either the TORS switch or the parking brake switch? I have disconnected the P/B wire, but now my lights won't run...And how the hell do you unplug the TORS? I pull the plugs and the bike quits...??? Help? Holyman
There is a little black box under the gas tank on the left hand side. Unplug everything that plugs into that.
xelerated
Did already- still no lights...WTF??
teamriot
The little black box is for the tors disconnect, not the parking brake switch. Look through the engine forum or or the other two someone posted which wires to disconect. Team Riot
xelerated
Yeap, that's all set- took the ENTIRE parking brake assembly out cable, wires switch etc...Also disconnected the TORS box. NOW- I have no lights. I went through EVERYTHING. All my connectors have been cleaned/greased, and everything has been checked/tightened. Even cleaned greased the lightswitch itself!!! WTF?? Anyone had THIS problem? I went all the way back to the stator. No luck. I checked to see if anyone has posted on this topic- no luck there either- any ideas?? Bike runs great again BTW!!!! Wallrat
Did you check the bulbs?
blk02banshee
Did you check the bulbs? I agree. CHECK THE BULBS. I went through my wiring six times before I realised my bulbs were blown. YES, all 3, including the high beams and brake light.

xelerated
Thats NUTS!! All the bulbs at once??? I'll check 'em, but if that's the case- I'm gonna shoot myself after prally three hours of disconnecting everything and greasing all the connections!!!! Happy turkey day to all my tech help!! xelerated
Okay, So all the bulbs are blown... What causes it, and how come I don't have at leeast high beams, seeing as those filaments are still intact??Next question- Can I get these anywhere? I see that the front bulbs are different than any others I've seen??
blk02banshee
I'm stumped, too. I replaced my bulbs 3 times, and the just keep going out. I noticed that I lose the low beams first, then 1 high beam, then the other. When I lost the last high beam, I had the RPMs high, and went through a bunch of little ruts, like a washboard. I think that it's just that the new halogen bulbs they put in the banshees since 2002, can't handle the vibration and bumps.
