It seems like my Banshee doesnt wanna let the gears rev out as far as they want to. I had this problem before, and I just did a top end and rode it easy today and it still does it. It seem like it is hitting rev limiter (or gives the same feeling) very quick. Its just like youre in powerband then BADABAP! Haha hope that gets my point across. What would cause this?

I'll check next time I ride, but it pulls harder than ever since I just did my top end so I'm thinking they are both firing. What does detonation sound like in these quads? I always watch out for that in my car because of my supercharger but could that be what I am calling an early rev limiter? Thats just the best way I can explain it. Sort of like it just breaks up slightly before you think you should shift. If I go through all the gears quick, I can avoid it. What do you think? I mean the bike is lifting the wheels going into 3rd so thats what makes me think the power is there from both cyls.

Sounds like detonation to me..

I had a problem very similar and ended up having a piston catch and stoppin the motor dead in its tracks. It is either caused my a lean condition or improper fuel octane for the motor (I think) or possibly to high on the timing? Might wanna check into those, and the jetting to make sure its on too

sounds like you are running lean...bump yourself up about three jet sizes. if its fat back off one size and check it...but it sounds like you are lean to me. maybe running out of gas at wide open throttle.
