draggins10 Posted December 27, 2014 Author Report Posted December 27, 2014 Im sure you have tried but gave up when frustration kicked in. Those races are not welded in. They may be rusted but they will come out. Fold them in on each other. Take a punch and bend it off of the inside of the swingarm. Use a small punch that will get in behind it. If you can bend it away just a little bit all the way around, then you can spray lube in there and let it sit. Use a dremel or an angle die grinder like the photo and cut the race in half by inserting the bit into the swingarm tube and grinding down thru the race to the tube. do this on the top and bottom to make the race 2 pieces. Then use the punch to knock it loose. Good idea. I'll continue to spray them with pb blaster over night Quote
draggins10 Posted December 28, 2014 Author Report Posted December 28, 2014 Finally got them out. Cut a slit in them with a sawzall then used a chisel to bend them inwards. Thanks for the ideas Quote

Larry's Shee Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 I suggest anti seize on out side of race and bolt where it goes through sleeve during assembly. Quote

salmon_slayer06 Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 mix 1 part acetone and 1 part trans fluid together and soak the area you are trying to work on with it. Shouldn't have to let it soak for more than 5 minutes and it should do wonders. I'm thinking of replacing my swinger bearings also. Quote
