Michael Jackson Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 So I'm going about getting my banshee back on the trail and I need a new air filter. I currently have the k&n with the metal adapter plate, it's an oval shaped opening. Can I buy one of those Pro Design Pro Flow double layer foam filters and use it with the same adapter plate? In some of the ads they look like they have a circle opening http://i.ebayimg.com/19/!CCGqr3!EWk~$(KGrHqN,!mEEz+2VpU04BNKGhObtrg~~_35.JPG others they look oval like the k&n. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MjUwWDUwMA==/z/DaUAAOSwd4tUKwoJ/$_12.JPG Anyone know the deal here? Finch Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 i never seen a oval pd one. just the k&n Quote
hercalmighty Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Might be better off measuring your k&n filter and going to twin air for your filter. They have a bunch of clamp on filters to choose from Quote
Michael Jackson Posted October 25, 2014 Author Report Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the replies Just snagged this off ebay for $25 shipped http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Banshee-Pro-Design-air-filter-with-Pro-Flow-adapter-plate-/111494531155?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=HFkdfROKfQ8tJ8x7JsBOcGBK%252BIg%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc filter looks in decent shape and if nothing else I'll have the adapter plate and just get a new pro flow for $40. Still cheaper than buying the package new Edited October 25, 2014 by Michael Jackson Quote
dave5.0 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Plates are different from foam to k+n. K+n has a bigger opening. Quote
