jriffe23 Posted October 5, 2014 Report Posted October 5, 2014 What the fuck? Is this possible?? Isn't there a cooling problem when you go that big on stock cylinders or is this guy just a dumbass. I'm assuming option B but I'll see what you all think Quote
trickedcarbine Posted October 5, 2014 Report Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) You can have big Bore sleeves in them. You should probably google a little before looking like a ra-taaard. My last stock cyl motor was a Set of Vito's big bore sleeves. They went to 70mm before having any sealing issues. Motor with 4mil crank was just a hair over 440cc's. jriffe23 Posted October 5, 2014 Author Report Posted October 5, 2014 I asked if it was possible. I thought there was something to do with the transfer ports being extremely thin? i think thats what i read. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted October 5, 2014 Report Posted October 5, 2014 Problem is the bigger sleeve moves in to the cylinder's transfer space. Well a little. Which is where it is complicated. Because once you have the larger bore for extra CC's, now you have less transfer to fill it then when it was a smaller bore. So it takes some crafty work to make it worth while. Welding them before pressing old sleeves out would be ideal. Then while the sleeves are out you can really work the new welded material to get an appropriate transfer volume. Quote
