Power_Man Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Let me start off this with telling back ground of this story. I was in a pretty bad accident on this machine last summer. Bent axles, rims, and few other parts. All replaceable items. So I replaced the stuff that I thought was hooped. Got used rims, axle. New bearing in carrier and new tires on the used rims. Started riding this summer after all repaired and I had a wobble in the tires/rims/axle. Well that's what I get for buying used (axle I assume). I bought a used durablue axle couple weeks ago, and just installed it. WOBLES STILL! It looks as if the whole axle is wobbling. Could anything in the carrier cause this, or did I get a bent axle? Starwriter Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 If I were you, I would take both axles to a machine shop and have them put them in the lathe between centers and run a dial indicator on them. Then you know for sure what you have. 1 Quote

Starwriter Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 3 jaw chucks are not very accurate. They're for quickly setting up something short that you are going to machine all surfaces. I would find a new machine shop guy. I hope he didn't charge you for that little bit of useless information. Quote
