New shocks?

When I acquired this bike it had Ohlin front shocks on it. I had them rebuilt, and now I feel like I feel every little bump. I mean it just rocks side to side terribly. Could something be wrong, or are these crappy shocks? I've done some research and people say good things about these shocka but most of the threads are from like 2002.

Have you looked at the spring rates on them compared to your weight

Not sure about spring rate but they supposed to be valved for my weight. Is that what you mean?

The springs will have a bold number on them for example -15 which has a corrasponding weight with ohlins

Or was this issue only after the rebuild ?

I didn't ride it much before rebuild.. I feels good when you just sit down on it, like it would ride real nice, but when you get out on the trail it beats you to death. I changed grips, and they don't have the circle shaped guard on the inside end of the grip anymore and my thumb and index finger are cut up and bruised from my hands beating against the throttle and clutch clamp. I just don't remember it being that terrible.

He was a big fella, I'm 230.. I had them valved to my size by mattscss, but man.. They just don't feel right.. do good shocks make this thing ride plush or am I over estimating old tech

I'm 110kgs I have stage 3 elkas and they ride great

 

Borrowed a mates bike with the fox float evols felt s bit of a stiffer ride but no compaints really or harsh bumps
