4strokebully Posted September 11, 2014 Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 Wat up guys I recently got my rear master and caliper chrome and rebuilt both of them after chroming and it happened to me twice that my rear caliper heated up and locked up once I take the brake line off it unlocks need help please!!! Piediddy Posted September 11, 2014 Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 Check the 2 axle nuts and make sure they tight. Mine was locking up and would do the same thing. I rebuilt the caliper and rode again till it locked up and bent the brake disc. Then I realized the nuts were loose. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the brake lever is hitting the clutch cover and not allowing the master cylinder to completely release, the brake will lock up as the brake fluid heats up and expands.
