Bradthequarterback Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 New here, been about 30 years since I worked on a two stroke any help would be greatly appreciated. Bought a 2002 banshee, had a cheesy taped together throttle cable so I replaced it. Now it'll idle but very time I hit the gas it bogs n won't run. Any ideas? Quote
kawa110 Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 Check the tors...(unplug black box) Gummed up jets? Quote
Bradthequarterback Posted September 1, 2014 Author Report Posted September 1, 2014 Tors already disabled. Don't think any things gummed up. Ran like a raped ape before. Next step is to take apart carbs again n carb cleaner... Quote

wayne_smith97 Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 Did you get the carbs out of sync? Quote
Bradthequarterback Posted September 2, 2014 Author Report Posted September 2, 2014 Didn't touch the clutch but I'll check it. Was replacing the chain n sprocket when the throttle cable broke. Pretty sure I got the carbs synced. Bottomed them out n then adjusted til they were even. Quote
Starwriter Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 Carb slides swapped? On stock Banshee carbs, if you swap them side for side, the slide cutaway ends up towards the motor. The cutaway needs to be towards the air filter(s). Quote
Bradthequarterback Posted September 2, 2014 Author Report Posted September 2, 2014 Either way. Runs the same Quote
sleeper06 Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 Carb bowls on wrong or choke tube did you check that yet Quote
