Nightmare Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 Good things can come from athenas if in the right hands. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) Well, The Athena name sure has a lot of heritage and experience so naturally they would want to try the banshee market. To be honest I'm surprised it took them as long as it did. But their stuff doesn't quite hold a candle to the other stuff available. However they are better then stock if they have decent nickasil in the bore. They don't have to radical of a lay out so you can still get some bottom end. Plus they got the triple exhaust which is nice and allows a builder to do some good things with volume. They are relatively newer in a competitive market, so not to many guys have messed with them. There has been a few guys to get them to run ok, though. You'll probably be able to find someone who can port them and get them to run well. But you might be happier selling it and starting with a serval your self. Edited August 22, 2014 by trickedcarbine Quote
banshee den Posted August 22, 2014 Author Report Posted August 22, 2014 I'm most likely going with the serval in time. just some other Q? are the 421 kits servals are cheetah cubs from Herr jugs. I know about the ones from FAST racing. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 You can get just about any builder listed on the home page to set you up with a serval or cub Quote
banshee den Posted August 22, 2014 Author Report Posted August 22, 2014 ok sweet. is 91-93 octane good to run in these cylinders? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 It's not the cylinder that determines the fuel usage. It's the head/dome set up. I think I have seen Athena's available with domes for pump gas as well as race gas. Do you know what the current set up is compression wise? Quote
banshee den Posted August 23, 2014 Author Report Posted August 23, 2014 as of right now its 130 in left and 127 in right. Quote
