i do a combination of riding from trail, duning to drag racing and am looking to upgrade my carbs from the stock mikuni 26mm.... Does anybody have any recommendations for a carb that would serve well as an all around reliable carb? I was thinking of going to keihin pwk 28 mm but would they put out that much more power than the stock carbs? Anyone who knows anything about the pwk 28 or anyother carb that would serve welll as an all purpose carb please reply.... Thanx

I have a set on my drag shee and they work great. All the guys I ride with that have mild port work run the 28's and love them. There all running pyramid reeds though, none of my friends run v-fore reeds. Most of the guys that run mx port work like I do run 34pj's. The pwk 28's are extremely easy to tune. I would recommend them to anybody. If your going to go all out drag then depending apon your motor the 28's might not be enough. my .02s

tats4life,

what needles are you running with your 28mm setup ??? I got mine through CT racing last year and they told me that they have to use different needles. Do you know the size needles you are running ????

Off the top of my head, not a damn clue, I called the guy who set up my drag motor, and he's in north carolina some where dragin some guys for an ass of money. When he calls me back I'll let ya know. I'd look but the shee's strapped down to his dyno and the shops locked

And to answer your question about running on an unported motor, I think they they wake the motor up a bit, espically when you run a bottom or mid pipe. Like Pro Circuits or PTR mid range.
