The electrical got fucked. I'm in the process of fixing it. Ground wire went bad for the right headlight so I'm wiring it to the left headlight ground.

You need to do more than take a terry towel to the bulb after touching the glass. 

The oil from your finger will create a hot spot so you need to clean it with alcohol and a clean cloth... otherwise you're bulb will burn out waaaayyy sooner than it should.

You have to spin the mounts around and have them re welded. The guy who fucked your carbs must have put the headlights on too.

Yep. I talked to him about the headlights too. He put different connectors for the headlight ground and I asked him about it and he said it's "stock wiring". Bullshit.

Next time you buy anything used, don't believe most of what they say unless you know them. This can all turn out for the good though, any time from now on when you buy something used, ill bet you look it over better. Life lesson right there.

That's the problem, the old owner was family. It was my cousin's. My dad said he does have a good record of fucking things up so he's not surprised about the slides being backwards.
