JoshWht Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Hello, I had a question about the rear shock on my Banshee. I have an '88 and I believe one of the seals must have blown out on the shock. I was wondering if anyone knows whether you can rebuild those and refill them. Please let me know if you have any input. Thanks, - Josh Quote
Killer_Shee Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 The rear shock is fully rebuildable. Quote
JoshWht Posted November 17, 2003 Author Report Posted November 17, 2003 Now, do you have to deal with Yamaha for the rebuild parts or does someone else make them? Also, what about the fluid and gas for the shock. Thanks again, - Josh Quote
Killer_Shee Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 You can have one of the after market companies (i.e. Works, Elka, etc) rebuild it and use their own valving and spring. You will then have a custom shock built to your weight that will be far superior to the stock setup. Quote

I would definitely go this route. if you are going to rebuild it anyways, why not make it better!!!! Quote
