shanYE west Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 lol well.. I guess either way you look at it.. we're going by what we're told.. Maybe we should just rip into this shit and save our selves some money!! I've dabbled a bit with works.. but never with axis. Quote
Tyler James Inc Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 I heard shocks don't make much difference, and stock is best for the front since that's what Yamaha put on it. My springs are chromed, does that increase spring rate by 3.746%? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 ^ finally, someone else who gets it. Haha 1 Quote
tfaith08 Posted July 13, 2014 Author Report Posted July 13, 2014 Just to recap... I got some triples w/res that were set up for 200lbs (I'm at 220) for a good deal. I'm about to have them re-worked because I'm maxing them out, which occurs much less frequently than before. Other than extremely hard riding, they do great. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted July 13, 2014 Report Posted July 13, 2014 It they're valved/sprung for 200lbs and your 220lbs, you will notice NO difference wasting the cash to get re-valved/sprung 20lbs more. Maybe the style is off. As in maybe they're setup for a flat track type of guy and you are jumping big time on them. It all plays a factor. Or get Evols and have any shock setup in minutes in one shock. Quote
tfaith08 Posted July 14, 2014 Author Report Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) Broke a spring and the style is likely off. If I wasn't already about to be pretty deep into re-doing the quad, I'd be getting them. Edited July 14, 2014 by tfaith08 Quote
