Duneable shift barrel probs

Started assembly today on a motor and started sliding shift barrel and forks in bottom case and noticed that the barrel has a hard spot in the turning like it's warped

 

I checked the bearing on the end and it spins great when out of cases

 

I mocked it on up to see what happens and it shifts but won't go to neutral and feels like crap

 

Is it possible to bend the barrel ??

 

Also how wore is s set of forks before you guys replace normally ?
