Young Guns Racing Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 I had one do this to me once and i went through allllll of the wiring over and over again - turned out the key switch was bad. Every now and then I would get an intermittent spark and it would make a loud pop. After testing and you are sure your wiring and whatnot is not your issue, start testing your ignition system. Now might not be a bad time to do a leakdown test either. If it is extremely lean due to an air leak it could be causing these symptoms as well. Let us know what you find out. Good luck! Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Wouldn't hurt to make sure flywheel key isn't sheared Quote

wayne_smith97 Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Mine was doing this and found out it was the Cdi box. Check and make sure spark is good and strong and not intermittent Quote
Young Guns Racing Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 You will need a multi meter for testing your electrical system, then download a service manual for specs. Go from there and if nothing is found start checking hard parts - ex: flywheel key (as mentioned) stator condition, carbs, jetting, etc. Let us know what you find out. Thanks and good luck. Quote
swhitey917 Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 Is this a new build or did the bike recently run fine and just start having this problem? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Silverghost Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Have you solved this issue? Quote
