mine is and 87 banshee with a 91 motor. so mine doesn't have a key switch ill start testing my ignition any special tool i need to test it? Also i think i seen it leak from the carbs.im going to check it again.

OK my 4 mil banshee wont start. I kick it and all i here is a loud pop. Its only one pop. Kicked it again Popped Loudly again(Only one pop). Wont start! what should i check first. im going to check the timing plate but waiting on my fly puller to ship to me. New Spark Plugs New chokes. Mixed 32:1 Edit:It doesn't pop on the first kick. And i have to hold the throttle in all the way.

well should i get a new stator and a timing plate... well first im going to check it out...

ok i got it started what i did was i held the clutch in i pushed the throttle all the way it started in two kicks. i ran it for a little but it stopped running. I started it again heard a loud pop sound backfiring. did it again heard it again don't want to try it again should i? what can cause the popping sound (backfiring) when starting ??

Ok well today i went out to get my banshee from getting a broken choke replaced. When he started up it took him like 50 + kicks. he said that im running to rich of 2 stroke oil. Is 32:1 that rich or what should i go to I was thinking of 40:1. but i don't know... any help ? btw i have a 91 banshee with a 421 stroker kit on it. Also my banshee is in a really tight spot where I cant move it and want to start it but i don't know if its neutral... does anyone know any easy way to get it in to neutral like a pattern like go all the way down the up or something like that? Thanks guys.

Actually does have two chokes i found it by opening the seat. PIcs:

The Gas is mixed correctly its 32:1 Gas valve is on Has no key Kill switch is on the on position yea i used the choke but a pushed the throttle and only has one choke no haven't changed the spark plugs, is there any special tool needed like a Honda does? ill try that i got it locally it it starts like in two kicks. just im new two kick starts. Also if its flooded what do i do?

Well today i got a 87 Banshee with a 91 motor 421 stroker kit in it. well when i got it he started it up in two kicks. my experiencing with quads is a 2004 honda 400ex. So when it didn't start pushed the throttle. nothing still. My help i need is on how to properly start a banshee and what to do if the motor gets flooded. Thanks for the help
