I was wondering if there was a forum on here that described how to replace it. I have search google and nothing. This is my first post and just wanted to say that this site has help me out a lot. greengt1115 Posted March 10, 2014 Author Report Posted March 10, 2014 This bend came from normal use of the cluth. If i bend it back will it happen agin? It's the part that the clutch cable connects to at the cases. Quote

sheerider11 Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Drain shit, pull of kick start, brakes lever, pull clutch cover, pull 6 bolts holding pressure plate on off pull off the plate and springs, get a magnet and get the ball and rod out, pull up the actuator and it'll pop out. Quote

I noticed on the parts schematic that there is a bearing associated with the actuator. Is this bearing pressed into the case or the actuator itself. I removed the pressure plate and clutches( I have a hinson clutch basket) I removed the actuator adjustment screw and nut . The adjustment screw looked snapped into and I could not get the ball and rod out. I used a punch to try to loosen the rod but it would not move. It seems that they are welded in place. Besides breaking down the cases is there any way to fix the problem. I have not figured out how to post pictures yet Quote
Starwriter Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I suspected this when you originally posted. Time to split the cases. Buy a Clymer manual. Plan on a complete motor tear down, inspection, and do all the internal improvements you can afford. Quote

Tru and weld the crank, port cylinders, Wiseco pistons, cool head, pro mod trans, ball bearing shift star roller, mod shift star and shift shaft, pancake bearing, billet water pump impeller, advance timing. That's the basics. If you want, you can spend even more money than that. Quote
