So I have heard a lot about the cheap cranks with 29L/R on the rods and how they arent very good. I tore my banshee down and found 29L on each rod. Is this a cheap crank? there is no r just 29L and a 0 on the other side of the rod. Im hoping its a stock yamaha crank. Any help would be awesome.

yep its a stock yamaha crank. well i assume it is i have a crank out of a 2000 that appears to have never been touched before me and it says that on the rods. Just 29L on one side and other side has a P on one and an O on the other

if the weebs are no black its an oem crank.  the china cranks are just copies.  the older non marked roods seemed to hold up somewhat better.

Oh thats good news, the way the previous owner put it together I was sure it was a cheap one. I got another question, my right piston looks to have light knicks all over the top of it. The left side looks good just curious what the knicks are from. the pistons are wiseco and the head has some damage on that cylinder also. The rest of the piston looks new.

Take some pictures sounds like possible detonation tho. Or a foreign material bouncing around. Does it have a cool head? If so what domes are in it? what octane fuel do you run
