Mods are as follows. 4 mil stock cyl ported by k&t (engraved on cyl only reason I know) transfers ported to case. 795 pistons domes have been cut for stroke but I have no idea of the cc's. R2 pipes,vf2 reeds, 33pwk carbs, huge k&n pod filters with 0 timing. CEL middle,150 main, 50 pilot, 2 turns out.

I only have a couple hundred feet to test and tune this thing being I live on the beach and I have to idle allot, that makes plug chops hard to do.

The idles good midrange good, have to really wind it up to get on the pipe or slip the clutch it also falls off easily and I thought I heard a lean sneeze when I flogged it a couple times.

Ordered from FAST last week 155,160 mains and yesterday with the 160 it definitely hit harder and hung on the pipe better but still had to get the rpms up and couldn't get on the pipe under any kind of load. From everything I read I should be rich but I have to do what she is telling me.do you think this may be from the filters being so big? (I think they are 14 inch x 4dia) and/or the porting?(have no idea but ive heard k&t doesn't do trail/dune porting) What size jets should I order (I may drill some to try and get in the ball park $) oh yea it passed a leak down and just found out my compression tester at my house says it has 15 psi I can't bleed out and I have 70 psi in both cylinders (this was my loaner).. I will recheck with my good one tomorrow

Well I have found 33 pwks like a little bigger main compared to there bigger counterparts, do yourself a favor b4 you blow it up stop trying to clear it out that lean if your at sea level leave the 50 pilot move the needle to 4th spot frm blunt end put a 175 main in there and work down from there get 175, down to 165 a duneported 4mil I just built chopped perfect with snipers pods 170 main with t-5 it came in at 165 all on race gas. My biggest concern with your statements is not knowing compression and domes sizeyou could be putting pump in s race gas motor and hurting it thinking its lean. Imo order an oring kit take head off check piston type and size dome size and measure your ex and transf port heights with a anolog caliper in mm because your static compression numbers could be down from porting or worn rings but engine might require something totally diffrent in fuel type

Thank you for your reply, compression with my quality Gage says 140/140. There is no markings on the domes but I know they were cut for the weisco 795 pistons, also everything is stock bore fresh rings. I wasn't adding timing due to not knowing what cc and this is with c12 /93 mix 50/50.

Not knowing a base line jetting and reading on here the 33pwk recommendations everything was pointing to 150~160.I appreciate your response as I was going to go up to a 170 and start down but will start 175. Really don't want to pull the head again if I don't absolutely have to

Pulled head, domes have 390 and 19 stamped in them I was being lazy and that would just be stupid at this point to run it not knowing and blow my shit up. Will get my calipers tomorrow from work and will measure from top of the cylinder to the top of the transfers and top of exhaust port and report back. I take it these are 19cc domes but what does 390 mean?

Does the piston come out past the top of cylinders? 2 things either you have a 4 mil like you think and your compression is way down with 19cc domes or you have a stock stroke long rod and numbers would make sense usually stroker domes will have +2 or something like that on it. Plus try and stay clear of mixing fuels your not a chemist

I will check again tomorrow with another gauge after I measure the ports I will bolt it back up and get another reading...I just looked at the adapter and it only has 6 threads...still don't understand 390 stamp on dome?

I noticed the same weird issue with the dome size to the readings your comp tester like sleeper06. Either that is a tired motor or it is being way over octaned. With 19cc domes in stock cyls it should be well above 140 unless you lived in mountains.

The issue with your bowl having the plug welded is not an issue. I have seen tons of pairs of keihin carbs in banshee kits that have one carb welded on. It's like they have a reject pile that they snatch one out of to pack the two carb kits.

Po had carb welded to clear clutch..I used brass punch and hammer on the inside of welded piece to make a sump instead of being flat. That issue aside.. bore size is 64.75 exaust is 25.50 and transfers are 42.00, compression still 140 on the kicker. Guess I will pull the head and jugs off and report back lesson of the day is take others word with a grain of salt

Nothing is what it seems or people dont know what they have. You stated everything was brand new on top byt ill bet he fried rings while he was trying to get it t o run rite, have piston to cylinder wall checked and check ring gap, b4 u tear the head off again check squish you could have a terrible domes set giving you the issues to with the compression
