Do these require an external ballast or is each light totally self contained and meant to be run off the stock stator? Bulbs good? I need lights and these should fit the bill just curious about these things first, thanks! Quote

I have some 35w HID ballasts from my last 4strk around would be nice to adapt a bulb to these... You must rock some trail techs as well, how do you like the projection compared to stock? Quote
Coupelx Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 no they use an mr16 bulb. minor upgrade from stock. i run the small mr11 hid lights from them with the ballast built in. they are pretty bright but require a battery and dc conversion to work. been debating switching to led lights and ditching the battery though. I bought these for my LTR and decided to go a different way. They are in great shape, have no issues, and come with blue covers Quote
