chevota84 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Report Posted January 5, 2014 Are the bodies anodized? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Yes but why....Just do a Kashima coating and be done. Quote
chevota84 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Report Posted January 5, 2014 Why coat the bodies? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk Quote
chevota84 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Report Posted January 5, 2014 I don't really want to ruin a $600 set of shocks trying to burn through anodizing or some hard coating. A buddy has a set on his sled, I'll try to get a good look at them when I have time. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 What series floats do you have? I use the Evols, fucking good shit. It's doable to get them down to bare aluminium, but that's if your very patient. You will have to completely dissemble them though. Not to hard just a bit tedious little job for the weekend is all. Then start to polish. Definitely need a buncha beer kinda job, Quote
chevota84 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Report Posted January 5, 2014 I haven't bought any yet. They'd be for my sand bike, it doesn't see much pounding so I don't really need piggybacks. I just thought that if could make them shiny it'd be something a little different. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Why not just get some Shaws and call it a day? Shiny and cheap price all in one shot! Quote
chevota84 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Report Posted January 5, 2014 I've rode a bike with Shaws and I didn't like them at all. They all seem to leak too. I was just going to get triple rate works, polish the bodies and pc the springs but I got to wondering about the floats. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk Quote
Azryll Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 If you want works that are shiny and don't want to have to polish them all the time you can get these, unless you like to polish all the time Quote
special06shee Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014
Are those chromed right from works? If so want do those bad boys run?
Quote
