I don't really want to ruin a $600 set of shocks trying to burn through anodizing or some hard coating. A buddy has a set on his sled, I'll try to get a good look at them when I have time.

What series floats do you have? I use the Evols, fucking good shit.

 

It's doable to get them down to bare aluminium, but that's if your very patient. You will have to completely dissemble them though. Not to hard just a bit tedious little job for the weekend is all.

 

Then start to polish. Definitely need a buncha beer kinda job,

I haven't bought any yet. They'd be for my sand bike, it doesn't see much pounding so I don't really need piggybacks. I just thought that if could make them shiny it'd be something a little different.

Why not just get some Shaws and call it a day? Shiny and cheap price all in one shot!

I've rode a bike with Shaws and I didn't like them at all. They all seem to leak too. I was just going to get triple rate works, polish the bodies and pc the springs but I got to wondering about the floats.
