do-work-son Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 So I sold my hid trail tech late last week and the guy that bought them send me this picture How this even happens while in shipping I don't know was in nice packaged box with plenty of padding Question is where can I get a replacment bulb for this can I use the scmr16 from Home Depot or do I have to buy this straight from trail tech Quote
Factory350 Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 Lights from Home Depot work just fine. They are regular halogen spot or flood lights. Depends on the model of trailtechs....some are harder to change do to their electrical connections on the back of the lights being hard wired. If its a newer style they will plug right in. Swapped bulbs out many of times. The only way that bulb pictured would have been broken is from removing it from the housing. The lense is still intact and its in an aluminum housing?? Probably removed it and tried pulling the connection and broke the base off. Doubt that happened in shipping. Quote
5150banshee Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 Id have to agree with factory there is no way that happened in shipping and the glass not breaking I bet he tried to pull the bulb out no knowing how the hid bulbs work he broke it. That sucks cause u gotta get those direct from trail tech. Factory is right home depo does sell halogens and led mr16 bulbs but not hid bulbs. Good luck!!!! Sent using Iphone5 onTapatalk Quote
