liass44 Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 It seems there is coolant leaking from the allen screws on the joint that attaches to the head (coolhead). What should I do to fix this, should I use some type of sealant on the threads and if so what type? Thanks Quote
Jereme6655 Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 there is an o-ring in there.....i'd pull the joint off and check to ensure that the o-ring isn't damaged. Then if it IS leaking from the cap screws.....then yes....go ahead and put a little rtv or whatnot on the threads of the screws. I've never seen the threads leak, but I do know there is a chance as the threaded hole does crash into the water jacket.... Quote

Ok thanks, I already replaced the oring about 1 week ago started it up and it was still leaking so I guess I'll put some sealant on the threads thanks. Quote
