BUILDER Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Well if you are serious then I think you should go for it!!! It is a great idea and you will love the power it will add!!!!! Quote
lms1977 Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 I think you should keep reading about them. Drag port wants air and fuel Quote
dirtydownunder Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 cant believe m&m sold a serval *drag port* and called it a "serval" still. sell the cylinder and get a stock serval with stock carbs. ask m&m what the timings are. Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 I'm one who is a fan of the Graydon intake on bikes. We have two 370 motors in our group, one with twin Mikuni 28's and the other with a Graydon intake and a single 35 Air Striker. They are neck and neck both on the dyno and out in the real world. BUT……Even having said that…..I wouldn't put one on a 421 Serval or a Cub. Quote
RagunCajun Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 A serval is meant to have a broad power band which is why people dont understand why you went get it drag ported. People get cubs if they want a top end/drag set up. You could of got a cub and came out cheaper/better in some cases. People say single carbs dont do well on top end and arent meant for drag racing. 2 into 1 is seen as low end set ups which is opposite of what you want. So in general, keep two carbs. Stock carbs will work. A lot of people do 35's. Quote
Coupelx Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 the builder may choose a serval as a starting point to have more to work with. it is however no longer a smerval. Quote
