Do i have to grease carrier that has new sealed bearings?

I just replaced the axle bearings that go inside the carrier.

 

Im wondering why to put grease inside if the bearings are sealed?

displaces water, pack it full.

Unseal the bearings.

Unseal the bearings.

I do this on both inner bearings ( take both sides off and take one seal off each of the outer bearings, so that the outer bearings outer just has the seal. Grease up and be done. 

Obviously use both black seals when done.
