2004LEBanshee Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 The local drag strip is closed for the year and I was wondering with just the snorkle off about what could I run in the 1/4 or the 1/8? Just wondering if anyone knew? Quote
glock221 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I seen a z400 with a pipe run 10.3, I think you would be 9.5 - 10.0 or so. Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted November 7, 2003 Author Report Posted November 7, 2003 in 1/8 I assume thanks Quote
Josh A. Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Do you plan on doing any mods?If you just wanna do those street drags, buy some street rear tires, slam your bike, and cut the fenders for a start(the cut fenders will create alot less drag)what mods do you plan on doing? Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted November 7, 2003 Author Report Posted November 7, 2003 No I ride trails. I was just wondering what I would run if next summer I took it out to piss around on the track. I am getting Fmf fattys and may be a Noss head. but not sure. Don't want to mess it up yet to new. At my local track it is a quarter mile and I have never seen a atv run. But there are plenty of snowmobiles so I was hopeing they would let me. Quote
Josh A. Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 for 1/4 your gonna have to have big gear to pull the quarter, dont waste your time with fmf fattys either, get inframe CPIs if u wanna do good at the drags,or for trails id recommend FMF ssts(best all around)or pc Quote
fixitrod Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 dont waste your time with fmf fattys either You know what opinions are like. I do agree if you want a drag shee, you'll need a top end pipe like the cpi, but for all around riding, the fatty has been proven as a good pipe. SST's are good as are a lot of pipes, but I wouldn't knock the fatty. Quote
bignasty1 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 i wouldnt knock the fatty either i had the gnarly's(same as the fatty's) for a while and i loved them. Quote
NYUK Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 BELIEVE IT OR NOT,fattys are a kinda sleeper drag pipe, they respond well to ported motors.they don t rev out real high like cpi.but the hp #`s are up there. Quote
kenr74 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I love my Fattys. I think they are a great all around pipe. Quote
glock221 Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 When I had my fattys I liked em. I do like my CPI's better though. Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted November 8, 2003 Author Report Posted November 8, 2003 I was just talkin strip like maybe once a year. I ride all trail and rode a bike with fattys and liked them a lot. Plus there cheaper then sst's Quote
AR-15 Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 I will tell you what mine did, since nobody seemed to answer you yet. Bone stock with T-5's and re-jetted, with no snorkle, I ran high 14's if I remember correctly. That was stock gearing, and stock tires, and still had front fenders. Take it and try it, just be careful it can get addicting. Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted November 8, 2003 Author Report Posted November 8, 2003 thanks for the input! Quote
Josh A. Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Yeah for just trails, you wont want the CPI's,I say SSTs,or fattys, nut Dragging does get addicting,I swear Quote
