thebloker Posted November 6, 2003 Report Share Posted November 6, 2003 I have my cases taken apart, and while I was cleaning them up I noticed that there was a bunch of grit in one of the roller bearings in the top of the case. It is the bearing on the top part of the case where the clutch cable connects and actually goes inside of the motor. In attempting to remove it, I managed to rip out the inner part of the bearing and remove all of the needles. The part that is stuck is the outer part of the bearing, as it is flush with the case. I don't want to try to bend this part out as I might nick the case in the process. Anybody have any suggestions? thanks, thebloker Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SDD Posted November 6, 2003 Report Share Posted November 6, 2003 Use a dremel and cut the outer race in a spot or two and it should just fall out. Heat the case up and freeze the bearing when you go to put a new one in. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
