nightmarebanshee Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 89 banshee toomy t5 uni air filter stock pilots 280 mains...well it was running pretty good and it started cutting out and sputtering wouldnt hit powerband in any gear... went through carbs cleaned them up and put new plugs in...starts 1st 2nd kick always idles fine carbs are synched choke tube connected tors eliminated spark seems to be fine coil ohmed out correctly it has always had a bog in 6th wot but it had been running fine through 5th needle position is in middle. im just kinda stumped and would like some advice/opinions on what it could be and if anyone has came across the same problem thanks guys! Young Guns Racing Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 Before looking at your stator cover other bases first. Id do a compression test followed by a leakdown to be SURE you dont have an issue elsewhere. Secondly check simple things, plug gap, fuel lines for deterioration - things of that nature. Make sure ur carb bowls are on the right carbs. The left carb (choke carb) has a small brass bb in the back bottom side of the fuel bowl - it has a small metering jet inside of it my guess is to feed the choke tube. anyhow i just got over one of these giving me a shit fit. no fun. good luck! report back with your compression and leakdown findings Quote
