Free yellow banshee Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 I bought a set of works dual rate with rezzies and +2 +1 a arms of a member. I already put the a arms on and I need to know what measurements to use when adjusting the preload. Can somebody tell me how to set the sag rate? I know how to adjust the preload on the shock, but I need to know what the sag rate should be set at and where to pull my measurements. I will be mostly riding trails with some track riding mixed in if that helps. Thanks. Quote
Free yellow banshee Posted August 29, 2013 Author Report Posted August 29, 2013 35-40% Sounds good. Is there a certain place I measure from? Quote
Free yellow banshee Posted August 29, 2013 Author Report Posted August 29, 2013 IIRC my shock compresses around 35% when i sit on it. Ok so I'll measure the shock itself. Thanks. Quote
springer Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 preload is an easy thing to adjust. if you have the free time next time you go out riding, try a couple of different setups. it all really comes down to rider preference and you may like something you wouldn't have ever thought. Quote
Free yellow banshee Posted August 30, 2013 Author Report Posted August 30, 2013 I'm going riding Monday. I'm sure I'll be doing some adjustments. This will be the first ride after the build. Thanks. Quote
Free yellow banshee Posted August 30, 2013 Author Report Posted August 30, 2013 Just to state the obvious, you need a friend, because all suspension measurements are taken with you sitting on the quad in the "normal" riding position with gear on. So someone else needs to measure. Yeah I know. I will bounce around on it some to get the suspension to settle. I'll be doing it this weekend. Quote
