Jgspahn Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 I was wondering how do you remove and replace the rivets that hold on the warning labels on my banshee. I know you have to have a rivet tool, but can you use that to remove them too? or do you have to drill them out? What type of rivets do I need to buy to replace the ones on my bike? Also, can somebody hit up JDS Customs and see if he is interested in making some of these!!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/271253380566?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Quote
James_21 Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 Drill them out with a drill the sane size as the rivot Quote
Starwriter Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 Clamp a pair of vicegrips on the back side of the pop rivet so it doesn't spin when you drill it. Quote
Zillaguy Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 Drill them out with a drill bit the same size as the shank on the rivet.... Then go to your local hardware store and get ALUMINUM rivets and pop them in place with a rivet gun. Quote
Starwriter Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 And put rivet washers on the back side so it doesn't pull right through the plastic. Quote
