teamblumkin Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I have a 06 banshee, had a rod bearing lock up, chipped the rod, sent it up through the cylinder, and ruind everything, had to bore it 60 over, head is pretty beat up, so I wanted to do a 4mil stroker, and run a cool head, I was thinking about going with vitos crank, but I can't figure out the numbers for which crank goes to what pistons, and havnt found 4mil pistons for a 60 over, and what size domes to run with that if I got the cool head, so any suggestions and help would be appreciated, thanks Quote
teamblumkin Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 And with all that, I still want to be able to run it on pump gas, really don't want to go bigger with the carbs, or have to port it either Quote
Zillaguy Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 get the HOTRODS 4mm stroker long rod (115mm rods) crank, and use Wiseco 795 series stroker pistons 1 Quote
sstaton1983 Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 You need to adjust the port timing,or go cheap and run the spacer. Quote
Zillaguy Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 ^^ the spacer plate is not to correct port timing... It is to correct head to piston clearance.... Do not run a spacer! Have it ported and get cut domes for a coolhead... Quote
Young Guns Racing Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 ^^ the spacer plate is not to correct port timing... It is to correct head to piston clearance.... Do not run a spacer! Have it ported and get cut domes for a coolhead... x2 no better way to do a 4 mil, you HAVE to get port timing corrected of there will be no power benefit at all for spending that money - hell you may even LOSE some. You might as well have it fully ported instead of just "correcting" the timing. Your choice of the port work will give you a choice of the power you want to make anyhow. Stock carbs can support you up to about 70hp - hope this helps Quote
